Are you prepared to be a pair?
4 Things Muslim Couples MUST Do Before Marriage
DID YOU KNOW?
Muslim couples are often unequipped and unprepared for the challenges ahead.
Chances are, you've seen this among your friends and family too.
In all the excitement surrounding their wedding, couples start planning for their special day and forget to plan for a healthy married life.
Amal Killawi, a researcher at The FYI, conducted a study that found many couples (especially newlyweds) had mismatched and unrealistic expectations about the realities of marriage.
Because of their mismanaged expectations, many fell into a negative cycle that ultimately weakened their relationship.
Many said that they didn't realize the importance of preparing for marriage or discussing topics like finances, family, intimacy and parenthood beforehand.
They wished that someone had encouraged them to prepare for life together amidst the wedding planning and festivities.
Here's why premarital guidance is a MUST.
- Premarital education (PME) reduces the chances of divorce by 33%.
- Couples who engaged in premarital education were found to have lesser negative communications after marriage.
- 9 out of 10 couples who completed PME were less likely to divorce.
Preparing now will empower you to navigate through the challenges that inevitably come with every marriage.

My wife and I chose to enroll for Prepare to Pair because the cost was much lower than paying for multiple sessions with a counselor. This course would be very useful to a Muslim couple looking to get married.
- AARON MORRISON
I liked the go-at-your-own-pace structure. I also like how there is a deadline to complete the course. The course content was well-structured, the discussion questions were great and the "homework" was beneficial. Every part of this program was intentional and well-crafted.
